Helena B

September 2025, Flute/Voice

“I have never experienced such immediate warmth, friendship, acceptance and encouragement from so many lovely musicians, tutors and students alike. Ever since I got home I have been thinking about it, remembering moment after happy moment.

The tutoring was great: input from several on any given piece on successive days was enlightening; it was a beautiful venue; a lovely touch to have ‘yoga/movement’ for musicians; delicious food and – of course – wonderful music all the time.”

Caroline S

August 2025, Cello

“To live in a collaborative musical bubble, without the distractions of everyday life, with like- minded, friendly and fun people ( some of whom have become dear friends), several times a year, is a real treat.”

Hilary F

August 2025, Piano

“Since that first course about four years ago I have become a Holiday Music addict and feel I have made musical friends who I look forward to seeing and playing with again next time. The course is extremely well organised – each person has their own schedule and I have also enjoyed the extras e.g. gentle yoga.”

Robert C

August 2025, Piano

“My experience of HM. As an enthusiastic late starter these courses have been probably the biggest factor in my progress. From the start, I think I’m on my 6th, I’ve been super impressed by the quality of the facilities, the extra activities and the professionalism of the tutors.”

London Piano Circle Newsletter

“The [course] was joyous and demanding!”

“I think that one of the elements of the success of the course is the general solidarity and camaraderie enjoyed by all, as well as the non-judgemental and supportive atmosphere, and the superb quality of the coaching. We all have a great time, it’s a challenging and exciting part of our holidays, and the climax of our musical year.”

Antonella P

August 2025, Cello

“As a late-starting cello learner, playing with others was a daunting as well as exciting prospect. Holiday music gave me the opportunity to learn in a supportive and encouraging environment, with high quality tuition and great skill in selecting music that fits the players skills with just enough stretch.

Over the years, I’ve gone from someone who didn’t know much about playing in chamber group and orchestras to a relatively confident performer. Through social activities, I met many lovely friends whom I regularly play with outside of the course.”
