Courses in piano solo and chamber ensembles

The course, now celebrating its 34th year, is suitable for adult musicians, instrumentalists and singers of all abilities. It aims to further participants’ technical and musical accomplishment in a friendly, encouraging and collaborative environment.
The course provides high level musical coaching by experienced tutors and offers opportunities for performance, both solo and in ensemble. In addition to workshops such as part-singing and Dalcroze, sessions featuring larger ensembles and piano related activities are offered.
Before the course begins, participants’ experience, as well as their aims and abilities, are assessed so that suitable ensemble repertoire for the course can be proposed and allocated as appropriate. On the final day participants have the opportunity to perform the works they have studied and so draw on what has been gained from the course.
